Detroit Post Punk Band Protomartyr Will Be Performing in Jakarta

.

To welcome the middle of this year, Jakarta-based collective and record label Six Thirty Recordings will team up with Winona Tapes to set a live performance for Detroit post-punk/rock/art rock quartet, Protomartyr. The concert will be held on upcoming June 21st at Rossi Musik Fatmawati, South Jakarta.

Protomartyr officially formed in 2010, which consists of Joe Casey (vocal), Greg Ahee (guitarist), Scott Davidson (bass), and Alex Leonard (drum). In 2012, this unit released their debut album, “No Passion All Technique”, and later in 2014, their name successfully attracted the audience through their second album titled “Under Color of Official Right” under the label of Hardly Art. Their career continues when their third album “The Agent Intellect” reaped a lot of praise that reinforced them as one of the modern post-punk frontmen. Following the triumph, in 2017 they signed a contract with Domino Recordings and released an album titled “Relatives in Descent”; an album that made it into the list of best albums of the year in various international music media.

Their upcoming performance in Indonesia will be the final chapter of Protomartyr Asia Tour, starting from June this year. With this, Protomartyr will be performing their closing concert in Jakarta after going through several cities such as Hongkong, Beijing, Shanghai, Seoul, and Kuala Lumpur.
