"Dark instrumental accents that slither below the breathy, deep vocals"

SINGLE
RELEASED ON 2020

Jakarta’s post-punk youngsters Camlann is releasing a new debut single “1983” which convey a sense of longing for simpler times when everything felt magical and significant.

Throughout this track, there are dark instrumental accents that slither below the breathy, deep vocals. The ever-present dissonant chords draw a melancholy from the listener. And as dark as this song may initially sound, I find it to be refreshing and uplifting.

This atmospheric track is dark, haunting, and also serves as first taste of their upcoming second album “Circa 1983”.
