BLACK SUN
by RUSAMILITAN

"The album takes Rusamilitan into a completely different realm of music"

PART OF NO FUTURE ALBUM
RELEASED ON 2017

Bandung based folk band, Rusa Militan, has just released their first studio album titled "No Future". Frustrated with their earlier sound and being categorized as indie folk, they took a risk with bringing a different approach to their folk music and combined it with psychedelic and electronic vibes. "No Future" takes Rusa Militan into a completely different realm of music.
There are many interesting songs on their debut album, but i was enamored by the second track, "Black Sun". Psych-driven guitars, heartfelt lyrics and smooth vocals, all create an atmosphere so warm and cozy that you'll probably never want to leave. Armed with strong electronic beats and a heavy guitar, their "typical" folk sound appears to be left behind.
It's refreshing to find artists who aren't afraid to bring a new identity to their music, it is such a clear message of who they are and what they stand for. For us "No Future" is a meaningful piece of art.
