CHRONIC SUNSHINE
by COSMO PYKE

"His soulful vocals layered above a disjointed beat and delicate guitar"

PART OF JUST COSMO EP
RELEASED ON 2017

I barely know this 19 year old artist, Cosmo Pyke. But from this one song "Chronic Sunshine", i knew this young man could be my new favorite.
I sadly hadn't heard of Cosmo Pyke before this, so am stoked that Youtube put me across the mix. "Chronic Sunshine" is taken from Pyke's debut EP "Just Cosmo" produced by Fraser T Smith, who has worked with artists such as Adele and Stormzy. Portraying a blend of genres such as blues, jazz, reggae, and hip-hop, his soulful vocals layered above a disjointed beat and delicate guitar riffs, listening to this is another simple pleasures in life.
Pyke says of the EP: "It's a documentation of my youth as an ode to my thoughts and feelings, with personal experiences and personal samples". His songs draw less on other music and more on his everyday experiences growing up in south east London.
