DREAMS TONITE
by ALVVAYS

"Song for shy kid who loves wholeheartedly but hides behind the curtain"

PART OF ANTISOCIALITES ALBUM
RELEASED ON 2017

It was just a regular day with no expectation, you woke up at 6 and hoped to be in bed by 11. But in the 17 hours you had you're eyes opened; you struck gold; your world changed; suddenly it stopped orbiting the Sun and it wandered freely in a new trajectory, where for each orbit it completes, it drew you closer and confirming your belief even more, that the force that has been keeping your life together is one that can't be explained by any Physics' textbook, can't be reasoned by the Standard Model. It's the age old four-letter word; love.
As Alvvays perfectly say it in this line: 'If I saw you on the street, will have I you in my dreams tonight.'
This is a love song for the shrinking violet who cares deeply but prefer to sit in the corner, the shy kid who loves wholeheartedly but hides behind the curtain. This is my song and perhaps it's yours too.
