DRIVING TO HAWAII
by SUMMER SALT

"Best chilling surf rock band"

PART OF DRIVING TO HAWAII EP
RELEASED ON 2015

Usually before starting the show, they introduce themselves as Summer Salt - Summer like the season and salt like the seasoning. Summer Salt (@_summer_salt_) is a rock n roll trio band containing Matt Terry, Eugene Chung, Phil Baier from Texas. They call their music as Coral Reef Rock. So, what’s that coral reef rock? as Matt says “It’s combining what we really love and that is Bossa Nova music, oldies music, and surf music and so all those things sort of have a beach-y feel and we all really liked that”. And now, we're going to talk about the track behind this video. This song, Driving to Hawaii, is my personal favorite. It’s taken from their album called Driving to Hawaii that filled with six summer-loveable songs. Driving to Hawaii begins with an angelic voice and simple guitar riffs from Matt followed by a nice taps of a drum from Eugene and bassline from Phil that sounds harmonious. Hopefully this lullaby will take you to a wonderful dream about having a trip to Hawaii.
