GIRL
by SOBS

"Feels like Chvrches in an indie pop band formation."

PART OF CATFLAP EP
RELEASED ON 2017

Guess what? Another gem in the Asian music scene! This time it comes from Singapore. Sobs is a trio that consists of Celine Autumn, Jared Lim, and Raphael Ong. Claiming their music as bedroom pop, they’re producing airy and playful melodies that are hard to hate. As you can hear, the song in the clip called girl appears in their latest EP, Catflap.
As they told about the artwork they describe it as real-life experiences, fantasies and melancholy rom-coms sewn into a diary of songs on life’s frustrations, affection, intimacy, a neighbour’s dog, and Singapore’s non-existent ocean.

To be honest, that Lauren Mayberry-ish vocals in this song is the one that caught me the most. If it ever crossed your mind how it felt to hear Chvrches in an indie pop band formation, then this EP is the answer.
