"There is something eerie yet incredibly captivating about this song"

SINGLE
RELEASED ON 2021

There is something eerie yet incredibly captivating about this song. Singapore based singer/songwriter, Shye, released her second single of 2021 titled, “ITIM”. It is a slow descent into an experimental, fuzzy, electronica.

Slightly deconstructed but still intelligibly digestible, there's a tinge of pop within the darkness. The distorted vocals bring a bit of lightness to an otherwise gloomy track. The synths and electronic beat provide a gloomy base for the vocals, and everything gels together quite beautifully. It’s like a melting pot of electronica, R&B, alt-pop goodness.

About the song the singer said, “ITIM (I Think I Might) is about how we can drive ourselves crazy by overthinking. It embraces the sense of freedom that comes with being finally comfortable enough in our own skin to take chances and to take the wheel.”

In situation like today, where the days are getting shorter as the evenings grow colder, this single really couldn’t have come at a better time.
