Mystery of Love is Sufjan Stevens’ most recent song. The song features in a coming-of-age film ‘Call Me By Your Name’, directed by Luca Guadagino. The film is based on the novel by Andre Aciman and stars Armie Hammer and Timothée Chamalet. It is about two people who fall in love with each other, as these actors exploring their relationship, it just becomes something astoundingly beautiful.
Sufjan’s voice is so evocative and his music is very intensely emotional, even the lyrics fit so perfectly with the movie. Listening to Mystery of Love, I personally feel like this song gives me a mixed feelings of uneasiness, hope, relaxing all at once.
