Finally, we arrive at the moment where we can listen to the new song of The XX. After their 2012's Coexist, they seem to disappear a little bit from the industry, except for Jamie who finally debuted his solo album with the Grammy nominated "In Colour" back in 2015. But hey they finally back and i couldn't be more satisfied with their latest single "On Hold".
I love how i can hear Jamie xx's influence in this song, hoping to hear more in the album. (Oh this also makes me want a new Jamie xx album). It's a slow but beautiful song, still got a Coexist's vibes in it and overall enjoyable to listen to to the vocal interplay between Romy and Oliver.
