PALE BLUE
by THE FIN

"a cross between M83 and Phoenix"

SINGLE
RELEASED ON 2017

Let us introduce you to one of Japan's indie rock bands that formed in 2010 in Kobe, named “The fin.” Trying to get out from the character of typical Japanese bands and music, they present all of their lyrics in English with touches of influence from Toro y Moi and Washed Out. Their music is also often referred to as a cross between M83 and Phoenix. The singer, Yuto Uchino said, he was trying hard to write the lyrics in Japanese but the melodies and lyrics came together better when he switched it to English. After their tour around the States in 2015, they signed with British label, Lost in the Manor, and have released their new single, “Pale Blue” on the 23rd of last June. Give it a listen and tell us what you think about it!
