PLEASE

"Their music creates emotional intimacy whenever I listen to them"

SINGLE
RELEASED ON 2017

The calmest indie-R&B musical duo, Rhye, have returned with a couple of new songs, “Please” and “Summer Days” since their last album Woman in 2013. Finally after 4 long years, they’re back! The moment when I listened to “Please” my heart skipped a beat. The music, the frontman’s voice, and the lyrics are the perfect package. There is something about Rhye’s music that creates emotional intimacy whenever I listen to them. Back in the days when the duo had yet to reveal themselves, I thought (and I’m pretty sure many people did too) that the lead singer was a woman, since Milosh’s voice itself is so heavenly and beautiful.

In a press release, Mike Milosh said that the band has a more psychedelic atmosphere because of all the live shows they’ve been through. “I really wanted to incorporate much more soulful and earthy colors. It had to be all live percussion and piano. The human intimacy had to come through the actual instrumentation on this record. ‘Please’ is the stepping stone to where we’re headed.” — Now imagine yourself listening to this song with your eyes closed, and letting Mike Milosh’s voice with its sensuality play in your head, and tell me how you feel about it, pretty “Please”?
