Finally, Toro Y Moi has a new album on the way! Chaz Bear in his moniker, Toro Y Moi, has announced his new album 'MAHAL' due April 29th. The forthcoming record will be the boldest and the most experimental album from him yet.

He’s giving us a taste of what we can expect from the album with not one but two new singles, “Postman” and “Magazine”. Song in the video, “Postman”, kicks off with the funk-filled bass, it pairs with some funky drum patterns which create a sultry soundscape that will have listeners groovin'.

Right from the start, these track come in blazing with a minimum instrumentation, a refreshing bass line, hilarious lyrics, and distinct beat that add a cool atmospheric feel. Chaz’s recognizable vocal and the low-key vibe will put you right at ease as you tap your foot along to the catchy but consistent rhythm.

“MAHAL” features collaborations with Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Salami Rose Joe Louis, and The Mattson 2. “I wanted to make a record that featured more musicians on it than any other record of mine,” he said in a statement. “To have them live on that record feels grounded, bringing a communal perspective to the table.”
