Donald Glover or usually known under stage name Childish Gambino just revealed his new album titled "Awaken, My Love!" would be released on the 2nd December 2016. For all i know this album is going to be a very different from the old alt rap nerd Gambino we used to know. He also released two beautiful examples of his metamorphosis, "Me and Your Mama" and song on the video "Redbone".
A slow R&B track filled with funky bass and soulful harmonies which occupy the space between Gambino's high-pitched vocals. The track shows that he's not just a rapper, he's a singer, producer, actor, writer, comedian and we can't just put him in a box. I don't even a big fan of Gambino's previous works, but after hearing this i know i need to listen to more of his songs. It has an old-school feel, it's nostalgic and makes me wish we had more music like this on radio instead of sappy love songs and lousy house music.
