STAY
by THE VACANCIES

"Song about letting go of person that gave you a sense of purpose"

SINGLE
RELEASED ON 2023

The first week of March saw the release of The Vacancies’ latest single “Stay”. Crafted back when they were still based in Malang, it's a song about letting go of person that gave you meaning or a sense of purpose.

Kicks off with an upbeat intro of beating drums and weaving, whaling guitars that really pulled me in. The bass modestly adds a tinge of rhythm, adding a delicate touch and the guitar solo is the cherry sprinkled atop.

Full of fun and vibrant vibes, this song has an easy going yet undeniably catchy bridge to chorus with medium beat and crisp guitar layers which perfectly fit with the simple, enjoyable lyrics.
