"Lyrics are about frustration, living life in Jakarta"

SINGLE
RELEASED ON 2017

Another gem from the Indonesian alternative-rock music scene. Jakarta based Purpla is coming to the scene with their single "Superealita". Their first single, "Superealita" is influenced by early the 90s alternative and indie rock scene while encapsulating the D.I.Y. punk ethos of the 90s. Crunchy guitar and catchy bass lines add support and fill out the sound, giving the same feel as the early sounds of Blur and Weezer. The lyrics are about frustration, living life in Jakarta and how reality will punch you in the face every single day. There's also a guitar solo that would crack a smile Graham Coxon's face.
Bottomline, "Superealita" is an unexpectedly embraceable alt-rock song. There's a lot of conviction and phrases that radiate from this track, along with a lot of emotion and frustration, making it relatable to basically everyone who lives in Jakarta.
