"A clear picture of happiness and finding happiness in someone"

SINGLE
RELEASED ON 2018

After the release of single "Kaca" last August, the Jakarta-based alternative music group, Anomalyst, returned with a second single titled "Tropikalia" which was released on Friday, September 28 2018.
According to guitarist/lyricist, Christianto Ario Wibowo, "Tropikalia" is a picture of a female figure in the analogy of tropical climate, beaches, and trees. It's a clear picture of happiness and finding happiness in someone. In addition, "Tropikalia" also contains references and anecdotes from popular Brazilian and Indonesian music in the 70s to 80s. The title itself was taken from Tropicalia Movement, a political movement in Brazil in the 70s and 80s through the medium of music. For the lyrics, in terms of the style of language, diction, and figurative approach used was strongly influenced by Guruh Soekarno Putra and Chaseiro. "Tropikalia" is an exciting release from Anomalyst and it's also the second single of Anomalyst's upcoming second album which will be released in October 2018.
