It’s been a year since The xx released their third album, entitled ‘I See You’. The acoustic version of “Brave for You (Marfa Demo)” is definitely one of the most gentle song I’ve ever heard from them and is talking about losing family members. Drinking in the lyrics, so deep and sad yet beautiful. The trio have been friends and making music since they were kids. An unbreakable bond is seen through the video. The clip opens with Romy-Madley Croft and Oliver Sim singing the song against the wall.
Later, Jamie Smith joins them, and the three members wandering around the highway as the day turns into night. The video was shot in Marfa, TX, where the band recorded their third album. Sim says, “It’s an inspiring place to be. The beautiful skies, the earth… We were united.”
