SAVANA (FEAT. ASTERISKA)
by SENAR SENJA

"Asteriska's vocals swirling above acoustic finger picked guitar work"

SINGLE
RELEASED ON 2017

The immediately endearing "Savana" comes from Jakarta based acoustic pop duo, Senar Senja. They paired up with Indonesian folk darling, Asteriska, who also happens to be one of the lead singers of Indonesia's finest indie rock band, Barasuara.
What I like about this tune in particular is the simple tale of hill and savana, with Asteriska's vocals swirling above the acoustic finger picked guitar work. The combination of vocals between the two results in a soothing harmony, despite it's general downtempo nature.
After their relaxing first album, "Bersenjagurau", they seem commited in continuing to make music that's easy on the ear and the soul for their second album.
