Mad Madmen is a Jakarta based that made a pretty heavy splash with their most recent record, Ego Friendly.
Their captivating sound translates to a commanding and enthralling live show. Their calculated composition and execution is clean and chaotically controlled, making for a slightly heavy and even more slightly obscure sound. "Snakes In My Head" is a free-flowing yet comfortably contained progressive rock song that weaves between funk and pop. The buildup was beyond standard, and definitely gave very few hints about what's to come.
