VOID (2015)
by MURPHY RADIO

"The single sees the old direction, but with vocals and more pop sound."

SINGLE
RELEASED ON 2021

It's been a while since I've posted any sort of math-rock type music, so props to Samarinda based group, Murphy Radio, for their latest release.

Three years on since the release of their self-titled album, Samarinda based math-rock group have released maxi-single titled, “2015”, which created and recorded with their ex-members.

Traces of math rock, pop, and emo are all apparent, representing a synthesis of disparate musical forms, Murphy Radio wears their influences proudly, even as they carve out a sound that is distinctively their own. It starts off strong from the start, with beautiful melodic guitar work buoying a melody that hangs around well beyond the song's end. The single sees the old direction from the group, with vocals and more pop sound.
